This Labor Day weekend, Old Fort’s artists will welcome visitors to their studios and show off their unique and fascinating creations.

On Saturday and Sunday, visitors will be able to participate in “Discover Old Fort’s Artists Trail.” This free and self-guided tour will allow you to see the talented artists and their studios in the Old Fort community. Artists on the trail will welcome visitors from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. both days. For more information, search for Discover Old Forts Artists Trail on Facebook. Look for a special page on the trail in Friday’s edition of The McDowell News.

Thanks Amy...this was an idea that sprouted and took root in just 3 wks. It was well received and the traffic was good. The best thing that happened was Anne Bevan, with hip trouble and being so prolific...folks came and cleaned, organized her house and shed. This will benefit her for a long time. She has a sweet place to visit.
